I'm looking for a small 2.1 setup to partner my new Cambridge Audio Azur 340R, budget of arounf £500 (depends on how much I can flog an old CD player and two R/C cars for). I was going to get a pair of the Cambridge Audio S30 speakers, but I really need to wall mount what ever I get, firstly to fit in with the wonky room layout and secondly to be out of reach of young fingers. My only worry with the S30's is that they're quite deep for a small speaker, especially with the amount of space I have to fit them into.
I found the Anthony Gallo Nucleus Micro's after they were mentioned in another post on here and look like they will fit the bill perfectly. Not wanting to paste myself into a corner, what other small satellite like speakers should I also look at...? I see there are B&W M-1's that look like they are a similar price if bought separately, are all these small speakers much of a muchness...?
I think I can get two small wall mounted speakers and a small sub past the wife, anything larger than and S30 is out of the question. I also like the fact that I can buy two of these things and then when funds allow, buy another three to get a 5.1 setup.
Any suggestions about what I should be looking at would be appreciated.
Cheers,
