I have looked at the PMC Twenty 23's as they are slim but I'm wanting something that's the next stage up (a bit better), recommendation's please?

Personally I love PMC Twenty 23s. Think you'll need to set some quality time aside to audition different brands/models. Try looking at PMC 24 or one of the Fact models. Also worth listening to Totem Hawks and Dynaudio (Contour S1.4 is a good place to start).

Naim SuperUniti not sure on budget depends if it floats my boat :)

What are you trying to improve over the 23s?

It's possible that another brand will give you what you want, without spending more. Have you heard the Kef R500s. which are pretty slim, and would save you money. They are very good imo.

Remember, imo your amp, though good, has its limits as to how much it's worth spending on a speaker.

You might try looking at the Vienna Acoustics range as they are pretty slim in general (6" drivers) but tend to be deep as well.

Second hand you could also look out for a pair of A.R.T. Audio Stiletto 6's which go very nicely with Naim kit.

Or, indeed, the very rare Acoustic Zen Adagio's

Hi mini66

Monitor Audio's GX200's and the new and fairly slim Focal JM Lab Aria 926 speakers are also worth considering.

Fwiw, you might be interested to know that the new Aria range of speakers was partly developed using Naim electronics.

All the best

Rick see you are on line, been trying to get your advice.
Do yo think that the Arcam FMJ A19 will drive the new MA Silver 6s OK also do you think that those products would make a good system combined with an Audio lab 8200 CD player

Don't get me wrong the PMC 23's are good speakers I wanted the 24's but my Amp is only 80w and I read somewhere the 24's recommend minimum of 100w ...is that right?

Here is a review by HFW, where they used a Supernait, which also has 80W. Check out the measured performance at the bottom of the page, where it says high power amps aren't necessary:

If they state it needs 100w min, then why is that pdf file saying otherwise? *confused*

Where have you seen the "100W min" statement?

Their own brochure says this about the Twenty Series - "Ease of drive - They are efficient and therefore can be driven by the vast majority of good quality amplifiers, which allows partnering to the widest range of electronics possible."

One thing I would like to ask is I was told Naim and PMC are a good match is this something you have found in your experience too?

They are a known match, along with Neat.

Make sure you listen to a few other brands (as suggested throughout your thread) and don't get tunnel vision. There is too much money at stake.

I haven't looked especially but I recall the floor standing models in PMCs twenty series are slightly more sensitive than the stand-mounting equivalent. So 24s will be slightly louder than 23s on the same amp. 100 watt minimum is nonsense!

You might also consider PMC fact.8 whch i have very much enjoyed on an all Naim system - at a price, mind you (north of five grand a pair).
