When recording from the guide, If a program starts late, is there a way of the recording it with out missing the finish, a freind has asked me and i dont know a thing about sky+. On my sony RDR 970 hdd recorder it has an epg link wich starts and finishes the recording when it recieves the signal from the broadcaster, does the sky+ have something similiar.

Under the settings on a sky+ box there are two settings for how much to record either side of a program. The default is "automatic". You can set it 0 mins, 1 min, 2 mins etc. I've never changed mine from automatic and I've never missed any part of any program I've recorded (touch wood). It usually records a few minutes either side of the program I'm going for.

Thanks will let my freind know. He said he was missing the end because the program was late starting and obviously had not set to record either side.
