Sky+ HD Sound thorugh TV and reciever

Hi all

I'm getting Sky+ HD installed tomorrow and would like to know if it is possible to have the audio running to the TV via HDMI for normalday to day viewing and use the optical out to my reciever for surround duties when needed. Wil I need to change the output settings when necessary or can both run simultaneously (even though I will obviously only need one at a time)? Will I see lip-sync issues?

You can indeed set the audio up the way you describe and there will be no need to change the output settings each time - just turn the volume down on the TV when using the reciever (I have a similar set up). You may experience some lip synch problems, but you can apply variable delay to the optical output on the Sky HD box.
