So here goes . Got tv today initial set up was just using youtube to test supposed dolby vision content ... no luck. Thought oh well the picture was very good. Eventually decided to log into netflix on the tv as opposed to my sky stream. Decided to look for dolby vision, found The Witcher a soon as i played a few seconds a banner appeared saying dolby vision/dolby atmos. The tv has frickin dolby vision. 😁
What chance have we got if the info we’re fed is duff?

Try iPlayer and look for/search on UHD. Can you see any listed? Strike or Asia are 2.

You are absolutely correct i mean these guys are paid to know this stuff. What i did notice on netflix that i didn't before on my old tv is the amount of dolby vision content. I wonder does does netflix only label something as dolby vision if the tv is compatible

I think that’s exactly how iPlayer does it. I never saw the UHD banner in our old TV, even tho it was a 4k set.

Yes because it's developed for broadcast media, funnily enough.

But your TV does support it, whereas LG don't even seem to know if their h/w supports DV or not..
And yet it’s on iPlayer only, restricting its availability even further. iPlayer is 5% of our viewing, broadcast abt 15%, the rest split across Netflix, Prime, Now, and Apple TV+.

Mainstream it’s not.
