Hi,

I am using my laptop E systems AMD processor, 2gb ram and integrated graphics, with an Acer projector X1230K to show films in our village hall. (Yes we do have a license!) Everything works ok but would I get a better result using a decent dvd player instead of my basic laptop? Or indeed with a better laptop with separate graphics card?

1) You'll struggle to get a 'good' DVD player any more unless you go s/h, 2) not much point in getting bluray since the Acer doesn't look as if it suports HDMI and 3) unless you're having trouble with stuttering, I'm not sure *how* much of an improvement you'll get; I'm inclined to think that the PC-aimed projector's limitations will prevent you from getting ultimate quality.
