On the cards is the purchase of a 2nd hand tt from a local shop. The item is (I think) a Pro-ject P2, comes with lid and a new cartridge (seems like a very cheap generic one). Asking price £150. Is that too much?

The tt's lid has got a Pro-ject logo on it, but there is no other identification sign on the tt itself other than a P2 sticker on the underside. Could it be a Rega P2 instead ?

1st time buyer, feeling a bit clueless. Any advice welcome.

Thanks

I have a project Debut phono, and it says so on a label on the underside... Make sure you fully inspect it, and hear it play before parting with any cash.

if you're unsure about it, my advice would be to walk away....
