Just got a set of these to try as a desk top system as my computer room is way too full of books and lp's, stereo system and, well, the computer....for any kind of floorstanding or standmount speaker to sound all that great. I went through Green Mountain Audio, KEF, B&W, Mission, Vienna Acoustics, Axiom, Aperion, Polk, Rega, Naim and probably some others i am forgetting. So decided to try the desktop route and skip the room problem altogether. They do sound pretty decent on their own, especially considering their size but of course need a sub. The proprietary one looks nice but pricey. Has anyone used a pair of and used a sub other then the Scandyna? Was curious about how well they might integrate with other brands and whether i should try and let them run full-range and let the sub do its thing or go with amp to sub to Micropod.

Thanks!
