I have finally narrowed my TV search and decided on the Samsung UE46B but what is the difference between the 7000 and 7020 ? I believed that they were both the same with one being for the likes of Currys or Comet. But i have been told that there are technical differences. Is this the case ? If so which is the better ? And just to throw a spanner in the works is the UE46B8000 better than either of these sets and worth considering for the £300 premium ?

I hope someone can help with this.

I think, appart from colour there is no diff between 7000 and 7020 but not 100% sure.

Series 7 i.e. 7000/7020 comes with 100Hz and series 8 i.e. UE46B8000 comes with 200 Hz motion plus technology. I have read somewhere that it doesn't make any difference rather picture is not watchable at 200 Hz and needs to switch it off. Having said that, if you can get series 8 with the same amout of money then I think you should go for it. You can get UE46B8000 at Costco for £1610 with 5 yrs warrantee and I have read somewhere here that they don't ask what and why if you need to return or replace tvs. Also they offer 90 days return policy on electronics including tvs.

Costco are a cash and carry warehouse but AFAIK you have to have your own company/business/self-employed to be able to get a membership card.
