Which one are you buying ?

I think i will go for the panasonic !
Me too, I have pre-ordered the Panasonic for £539, history suggests it will be more reliable than Samsung based on past players.

Are you going to pre-order the Panasonic then or wait until it comes out?

Did you have any issues with your Samsung player?
Nope, it was the first generation I was referring to. Mine is really good.

My first DVD player was a Samsung 709 back in 2000 and it was a fantastic reliable DVD player and was an early generation. The problems will be firmeware updates and both Panasonic and Samsung will be very proactive in this arena.

As I have said before, check if your existing cables work first. You may find that existing cables already exceed specs and work with 4K as well.
