Me too, I have pre-ordered the Panasonic for £539, history suggests it will be more reliable than Samsung based on past players.simonlewis said:

My first DVD player was a Samsung 709 back in 2000 and it was a fantastic reliable DVD player and was an early generation. The problems will be firmeware updates and both Panasonic and Samsung will be very proactive in this arena.

Not sure what my cables are to be honest they are quite old, i'm pretty sure you get a free one with the panasonic UHD blu-ray player, no i don't do 4K netflix i haven't got an account/subscribe to them.

By all accounts the american version if the players are multi voltage and work here anyway think its released in US
