Hi!

Happy New Year!

I've just registered with the forums so go easy on me!

For the first time I find myself in the market for a nice new TV ...which seems to tie in nicely with the January sales! Some of the high street stores are offering big savings on TVs - one of those is Currys with (a claimed) £300 off the Samsung PS50B530S.

At £599 it seems like an amazing bargain... or is it too good to be true?! Are there "better" (as a long time reader of these forums I know how that word can take us off on tangents!) 50" models out there around this price point? LG seems to have a few around £699, but I'm torn with the good reviews given to their 47" models too.

Any and all thoughts on this TV gratefully received.

Thanks

yes for a 50" its cheap , but you can get a panasonic 46g10 plasma for £750 , thats not a lot more money for what is a very good plasma that has the bonus of freesat built in , and a 5 year warranty if bought before the end of jan , is it worth saving £150 for a tv that will have inferior picture quality , lacks motion processing ,and lacks freesat ??
