Folks, just taken delivery of a 37ES6300 for my bedroom. Really nice set and a cracking picture too. Still need to set it up properly just haven't had time. What I'm after is advice from other Samsung owners regarding settings for Motion Plus and LED Motion Plus. I currently have them set as follows:

Motion Plus Clear

LED Motion Plus On

I realise settings are all dependant on ambient conditions and personnel preference, but I'm just wanting to know how other people have theirs set and use these as a starting point for experimenting.

Thanks in advance.

Agreed. My 32inch Samsung LED in the bedroom (can't remember the model number) has all processing turned off and benefits greatly from it, Samsung processing is far too artificial in nature when compared to a Sony tv which to this day is the only processing i find tolerable.

The clear motion setting is the best out of all the motion settings combined with the led motion plus when watching tv channels just as you have set it, theres the odd bit of juddering from time to time but nothing to be concerned about (and i'm really critical)I'd definetly turn off both the digital noise filters as they just cause blurring and your lose clarity through them. Thats how i feel all my samsung led tvs work best personaly. The motion settings give programs a different feeling and also add a slight feeling of more depth. When watching bluray films however i'd set the motion plus to - custom (blur 5/ judder 5) and engage the led motion plus again, and as before turn both digital noise filters off.

Thanks for the feedback guys. As you've all said I'd already turned off all other noise reduction and picture processing. First thing I do with any new tv. I'll leave the motion settings as is at present and wait until the footie starts before experimenting properly.

I toggle the Auto-Motion Plus from Clear to Smooth when watching sporting events (cycling, Formula 1). If left on Smooth, movies, etc. will have the "Soap Opera Effect", where film looks like video. I've tried LED Motion Plus for fast-moving sports, but it dims the picture, so I have to adjust the backlight, and I didn't really notice an improvement in motion blur in my limited tests.
