I only got this cinema system because I got it for £58 with my TV.

The user interface is pootang. looks like it should belong in the early 90's.

The cables are annoyingly fixed in the back of the speakers and have little colour coded plugs that go in the back of the amp. I don't see the point in this. Why can't samsung just fit those red and black crimpy things so that using better or longer cable is easier.

Do you think it'll be ok if I just cut the cable so that I have some short tails to twist and crimp my new cable to, hence extending and upgrading at the same time?

If you can get inside the speakers then you can disconnect the wiring. Get some decent connecters from Maplin and cut a hole in the back of the speakers and fit the new connecters. You can then use any cable you like.

Hope this helps

Good idea. I'll do what Samsung should have done. Tight ass'. What about at the amp end though where I gotta use them stupid little plastic plug things. I guess i'll have to cut and splice them on otherwise I'll end up taking the back off the amp too.
