Sure I've done this before, but there should be a special circle in Hell for people who leave their dogs out barking.

And another for the gaggle of cyclists I struggled to get past this morning, occupying the full width of the road for mile after mile, and their being higher up than driver's eyeline made it very difficult to gauge safety of overtaking - hence the long time being held up. I'm not an anti-cyclist driver, but I certainly notice the ones who haven't read the highway code...

Driving has become more hazardous with cyclist on the road. I recall when we use to have shared services with another London Borough (Hackney), I would drive into office, but stopped doing so and decided to take the train, after realizing, there's a real chance I might kill someone.

Allow me to elucidate, heading up to Mare St. there were swarms of cyclist in front of me and the same volume, behind me, on both sides of the car. It was like a colony of ants homing in on some poor caterpillar.
I witness these eco-warriors doing some crazy stuff on the road, like grabbing on to the side of a vehicle while it was moving, I seen some altercation where they will pelt their bottled water at you.

This was a war zone, they seem to have this collective hatred for motorist, I pay my road tax, not sure they do and I feel pretty aggrieved, it did cross my mind to keep a baseball bat near me, just in case. I made a few more trips to Hackney but for the sake of my mental wellbeing, I decided it was better to take the train.

I am, increasingly.

Our LA has spent a fortune building a cycle route right along our coast, and not just a painted line on the road either. A proper, safe, segregated cycle path, yet you still see groups, particularly the lycra clad **** insisting on riding on the bloody road, much of which is now one way to vehicular traffic to accommodate the cycle path....

We got the redways (shared paths including for cyclists) here yet they still ride on the road and take up most of it.

When it comes to cyclists I'm pretty patient but my wife had an interaction with one and honestly it made my blood boil when she told me. So when we were allowed to do a bit of outdoor exercising during covid, Rach and a friend reinstated their walk along the canal towpath. One day a bloke on a mountain bike came barreling through at a ridiculous speed shouting "get out of my way, we have the right of way on here" he nearly ran over our friends toy poodle. Like I say my blood was boiling. Look up the rules of the canal on the Canal and Rivers Trust website moron. Cyclists are the bottom of the pecking order when it comes to canal towpaths. They are told to ride at sensible speeds, give way to pedestrians. Ring their bell but not aggressively if they want to pass a pedestrian but don't expect the pedestrian to move immediately.
In fact when I used to cycle to work you needed a license to use the canal towpath. It didn't cost cyclists anything but you had to print it out and have it visible on your bike. I'm guessing the Canal and Rivers trust gave up on that because it was impossible to check every cyclist.
I wish I'd have been with my wife that day🤬

Pedestrians have right of way on all roads, paths etc, at all times.
That excludes Railways though.
Yeah can't see anyone arguing with a train 🤣 Although how I'm still alive is beyond me. Back in the early 80's when I was at secondary school I got off the bus one day, saw one of my mates walking up the foot path towards school. I ran after him opened the gate at one side of the railway crossing and forgot to look, got to the other side opened the gate and the train shot past me. I never caught up with my friend a just stood there panicking at how close I'd come the being splattered by a train.

It was the grace of God, it wasn't your time!
A lesson learnt I'm sure!

A Swift shoulder barge into the canal would soon adjust their behaviour....
