Maybe check out some of Novafidelity ( aka cocktail audio) kit, much of thier gear has a focus on ripping, storing and playing cd's along with streaming in it's premise, I used to own a n15d, the entry level model, on board provision for a hard drive, streaming /dac, I could even plug in a cd drive and rip a cd to it, although I'm unsure how the meta data was handled as i only tried this once, cracking wee unit,
Unfortunately I believe Novafidelity has ceased trading, so if going that route, it'd have to be a pre owned unit and take your chances , the Novafidelity x40 would be the model I'd be looking at....other than that, streamer/dac, server with storage, devices are thin on the ground and tend to be pretty expensive, some even come with a Roon core built in..
Me, I ripped my cd's via db power amp on my pc....transferred it all to a Intel nuc, which has my Roon core imbedded via ROCK ( Roon optimised core kit) this in my opinion is the best server/ streaming solution, maybe not the cheapest as you have to factor in the cost of Roon which is around £15 per month but it's seemless with Tidal and Qubuz well integrated and it's well supported with regular updates etc....I actually wouldn't be without roon these days.

The price has come down to £294. No catch, delivery 2-3 weeks. I purchased from the same vendor, so all good. No import duties, what you see is what you pay, sometimes the VAT catches you but that's it.

It's really a Linux PC, once you navigate around it, you pick up quickly. The apps work well. It's touch screen, you also have a remote. Updating the firmware is pretty straight forward.

I'm not sure you can download any special software on your phone, it's possible there are some apps, I have no need for them!

One thing that will surprise you is the sound quality, it's really good as a stand alone but you can use it as a transport. You can compare the Topping DAC with the bespoke FPGA, see which one you like.

I've taken some photos to give you some idea how it works. It takes about 2-3 minutes to boot up, like your PC. You switch on manually. Your remote will close unit but not power up, weird feature!

I like it, works for me. Every time you copy music on to your NVME SSD, ensure to re-scan it on the search music option from the menu.

Here are the photos 🙂

If you're using it as a DAC, it'll play all formats including DSD512.

I had to recap, the US vassalage the EU, had introduced punitive sanction taxes on China.
So if you're part of the EU community, there will further taxes to pay.
This shouldn't affect the UK, unless Starmer decides to follow suit.

I believe the vendor has provided a special link, where the VAT is deducted from the amount.
