my sony V3000 started to develop a fault with vertical lines appearing on the screen. luckily i bought mine via John Lewis and the TV is covered by a 5Yr warranty. they sent an engineer around and they have offered me a replacement.
They have initally offered me the Sharp Quattron LC40LE811E, or if i want another TV i can have £545 to spend but i reckon i can try and get the £599 off another TV (the Sharp is retailing @ £599)
i have a look at their site and the following TV's look interesting...
Samsung UE40C5800Q
Samsung LE37D580
Sony KDL37EX503U
i've had a quick look at the main differences on the comparision feature on the online store seems to be:
Sharp:
has 4 colour LED backlighting technology
100HZ
no internet TV
does not have DNLA, but does play USB
Samsung 40C
50Hz
has DNLA
Samsung 37D
50Hz
has DNLA
Sony KDL37
50Hz
internet TV
DNLA
I'm abit confused about which one to go for. The sharp appeals because of the yellow and promise of better colour reproduction, but the DNLA is very appealing too, and the small screen difference is not a big deal for me.
