Replacement for Audiolab 8000S/P

For about 12 years I've happily listened to my Audiolab 8000S and 8000P amps, driving Kef Reference Series 2 speakers, with a Copland CD player. I'm curious if spending anything up to £1,000 on a new amp would give me a bigger, slightly warmer sound - my listening room is 22'x18' with 14' ceilings and a difficult room to fill with sound at a neighour-respecting volume! Any advice gratefully received! Jan-Peter
