There is a couple of minor marks on my deck, nothing serious. but since ive decorated it looks a little shabby.

How easy would it be to strip it and put it back together again? What sort of paint would be best? Im thinking either gloss black or red.

Any help and advice would be really appreciated. Im a bit worried that once i've taken it to bits I wont be able to get it back together.

Everything that comes together comes apart!

I can't see it being a major problem but then again i've never striped a deck down. Its a situation were your proficiency and confidence in DIY comes in to play.

Regarding the paint. I'm not sure a brush would give a great account for itself. If you going to use the original timber and varnish or oil it this would be fine but painting with a brush (however fine) will leave inevitable brush marks. If its a colour your after then i think a professional spray would be a better option, it will cost more but will give a much better finish overall.

Good luck.

You can find service manuals over at vinylengine that should help with info about stripping the deck down. Also look at some of the us-orientated forms, where the topic comes up reasonably often.
