On order along with a Naim Stageline...tick tock...

I'll take a few pics and try posting them when they arrive.

yep, getting the package with the Apheta cartridge. Auditioned as a package so going with another option seemed pointless really.

OK, lets give this a crack..

OK, we're off and running. Apologies for some of the photos, it's been peeing down all day in London town so I've had to put the lights on...

Thanks all for your kind words.

Alchemist, no I did not. The only other TT my local dealer stocks are Linn and I'm not keen on the styling.

Looks fabulous! I like the white phono leads, which look pretty serious compared to the weedy black items emerging from mine!

Not sure I'd be too confident actually playing a record whilst it is in that rack, mind you... 🙂

Thanks nopiano. Apparently they are 'low capacitance high performance' leads 🙂

agree the location is not ideal but my last TT lived there so I'm used to whipping the records in and out. Having said that, I might see whether it could sit on top of the lp cube...

Hi bodfish

I just notice this today, are those Herbeth moved by water...? Holy moly, those cables seem like water hose...!

The RP8 definitely sits right on top of the vinyl cube!

Are you going to tell us how it sounds???

Well, I'm not picking up the stage line till Saturday but first impressions with a Project phono box are very very good. Bass lines are fantastically well defined and the overall tone and timbre of instruments is wonderful. Will post some more detailed thoughts once I've had the stageline up and running for a bit.

Lovely deck

Stageline takes a while to come on song, mine was s/h and took a good 10 days to show its true colours !

In that case the apheta should be into its stride at about the same time. The apheta is a fabulous cart, providing you want to hear what is on the vinyl, and are not wanting the coloured sound some carts give in search of vinyl ''warmth''.
