Recording sound from SKY HD

I have some music shows on sky plus which i would like to get on to Mp3.

Can anyone advise how I would go about this?

You'll need to use the archive facility to get it on to a computer hard drive (either via recordable DVD or direct) and then run a file conversion application on the file. I managed to do this from a normal Sky box using a DVD recorder and a laptop with a DVD drive. I imagine your main obstacle will be transfering off the Sky plus box, because if you have one of those you probably don't have a DVD recorder.

Is there any way i could use the optical out or phono to record the sound to say Minidisc?
