Having checked Roon it actually says 1970 as does All Music (however this is for the digital download). Wikipedia entry states 16 January 1971. Discogs doesn't have that LP listed as 1970 and the only ones are from 1971.

It was a fantastic year in musical history. Are we ever going to witness another one like this? I listen to a lot of new releases but looking above 30 albums mentioned in one year. Not just that, but for quite a few probably their best work ever.
Any favourites from the above albums? For me Joni Mitchell "Blue" would come out top, but putting together a top 5 would probably be impossible.

Not a huge Joni fan and Blue is a very short album. Out of those, top 5: Who's Next, Led Zepp IV, LA Woman, Aqualung and Sticky Fingers. Tapestry at the time was excellent to.
