Q acoustic 1010 5.1 vs 1010i

Both the Q acoustic 1010i and 1010 5.1 systems have been awarded best sub £750 traditional system awards. I am thinking of buying one or the other and i noticed that the old model can be picked up for £200 less. What is the difference between the two? Does the older one now have High Definition Sound, and do I really need it anyway.

Which is the better option for the money

Hi there,

Most importantly, both of these are just speaker packages so both can offer "High Definition Sound" if attached to a receiver which can process and output the new HD audio formats. In my opinion, the 1010i is worth the extra over the standard 1010, but I have to stress, this is only my opinion. The only way you can be sure it's worth it is to listen yourself I'm afraid.
