Psychic Harmony 555 remote ?

I use the harmony 555 to control all of my kit and after a few teething problems setting up the macros, I have found it to be a fantastic piece of kit with excellent customer service. What I want to know is how does it manage to switch on the backlight before I press any buttons or even pick it up !? How does it know? Am I losing the plot?

My Harmony One lights up with I pick it up. Yours is probably psychic, given that it lights up before you even touch it!

Hehe When I first got my 555 it used to keep doing exactly the same thing. Totally WEIRD ! The sensor inside it must be mega sensitive, or maybe they just are psychic.

The sensor registers when the remote moves so your footsteps can set it off. Mine does the same thing.
