Is there such a beastie, out there ,that will give me the same screen hight for both 4x3 and 16x9, without any faffing about.

[Do not mind black bars top/bottom when watching true cinemascope films at 2.35:1

or the same black bars at the sides for 4x3]

absolutely hate trying to alter zoom to fit screen.

Most projectors should give the same viewing height for 16:9 and 4:3 material, it's only the width that will vary. At least with home cinema projectors anyway.

yes...you would think so, but the two that i've owned , didnot.

When I visit the ex later today, I will jot down the model numbers .
