Hi,

I'm looking to buy an Epson projector for home cinema. Ideally i've been informed that EH TW9200 is the best but the cheapest I can find it at is £2,600. The EH TW9100 comes in about £1850 which is still expensive but a better price.

Does anyone have either of the two projectors and what is the difference between the two? I know TW9200 has a higher contast ratio 600 000:1 whereas TW9100 has contast ratio of 320 000:1- would your eye ever notice this difference?

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

The Epson’s are good but they can suffer from slight focus slip when they get warm and cool down which can become annoying particularly if it's on the ceiling. You’re much better with the new Sony VPL-HW40.

Thanks,

Had a look at the Sony VPL-HW40ES as suggested above it seems good - what is the contast ratio? So you think its a better picture than either Epson TW 9100 or TW7200?

I actually bought Epson TW9100 ex demo on Amazon - etched mark on the lens and picture has some kind of interferences / dancing pixels in background pictures - really disappointed and sending it back.
