I’m interested in starting this again to gain from anyone their experiences of power cables and power bars and what using different cable properties or constructions has had on sound quality. I’d like for this to be for people who are interested in this, not doubters, cable debate etc

I used the Titan Helios cable on both my CD player and streamer and it’s opened sound stage and detail. Unfortunately too thick a wire to fit my rack

I found the size of my conductors on the cyrus kettle leads, and just bought two clearer audio copper line alpha shielded cables, of a similar conductor size. The atlas hyper 2.0 is going back in exchange, but I’m interested to see what a shielded quality hi fi power cable will do, that isn’t perhaps as in your face as the Helios power cables, and not too balanced in detail.

What makes you think posting it again will result in a different outcome. Just asking, nothing more....

What a ****.

Same thing expecting different results? Just enjoy the music as best you can is my philosphy, to be fair philosophy might be bigging it up a bit too much lol

Its kind of similar to a drug addict. They keep doing the same thing but don't expect the unpleasant experiences from the last fix to occur again but of course it always does. Put your hand into a hot fire and it will get burnt. Who would choose to do that again in thebelief that your hand would not get burnt? Almost a definition of insanity in some ways.

What people think and do in their own lives is really of no great interest to me, that really is their business and I totally respect that.

They are also free to post whatever they like about this on a forum like this, if they choose to make that choice, then the rest of us are free to react to their posts in any way we like, with in the rules of the forum. That's how it works.

When reacting to some posts it is difficult to do so in a measured way simply because of level of idiocy makes any kind of a rational, logical discussion redundant and not getting involved at all allows the idiocy to go unchallenged.

For this reason I rarely get involved in discussion of the merits of individual components, I would probably upset quite a lot of people if I was to do that, so I don't. On the other hand, some things just have to be challenged.

Will probably leave this thread too but I'm afraid my absence will not prevent it deteriorating into the mess the previous one ended up in. I may of course have a quick peep now and again to see if my theory is correct...
