My current set-up is MA br2 front, brlcr center, brfx rears, rsw12 sub, yamaha rxv2065 reciever, rotel rb1510 power amp front channels, pioneer bdp320 and marantz cd6003. My problem is with stereo music. The sound is very good midrange and treble but the bass sounds hollow. I can use my sub to help but would prefer the speakers to have more authority of their own. Am thinking of upgrading them to MA rx2, rx1 or B&W 685. Does anyone think this may solve my problem?

Many thanks

Personally I would use the sub. You have a brilliant sub there and I would make the most of it.

I prefer the sound of a standmount and a sub but if you are looking for more from just the speakers then I would go for the RX2.

Additionally I would stay away from B&W and stick with MA to keep the tonal balance for the surround duties.

Thanks for the reply. I think i'll demo the rx2's and see how good they sound on their own. I have been told they're very bassy which I think I will love. I like good sound all round but I like the bass to be dominant. Some people call it unbalanced but thats how I like it.
