Hi, i recently purchased a Sanyo PLV-Z700 projector but only received a european power lead (2 pins).

I wasn't too fussed as i had some spare power leads at home and have used one of them.

I noticed that the european lead in the box is a moulded type lead and seems to read that the amp in the lead is 34 amps.

The lead I have used is fitted with a 13 amp fuse.

Will this have any impact on the power and any potential issues ? Projector seems to work fine. I've only used it for about 4 hours.

the projector was brought through amazon uk and was supplied by them directly.

I couldn't find any way to inform amazon uk via their site.

Thanks in advance.

Fear not J_R!

The power consumption of the PLV-Z700 is a mere 246 watts at full brightness and just over 1 watt in standby mode.
Any standard mains cable will do.
It's not a bad little home projector at the price, enjoy!

there is neither an amp or a fuse in non uk european powercords and plugs

the wiring system over in the rest of europe doesnt use the ring mains

Thanks for the link to contact Amazon. I have emailed them to check.

The european plug has the text "LP-34A" written on it, so thought 34A means 34 amps. could be wrong.

I might be able to sleep a bit easier !!.

I noticed the text "10A 250V" written on the european power lead end that goes into the projector.

This suggested I shouldn't have any issues if my uk lead is a 13A fuse right ?

Just read the tech specs from the manual on the supplied CD with the projector.

Under voltage & power consumption it says:

AC 200 - 240 V (1.5 A Max. Ampere), 50/60 Hz (Continental Europe and The U.K.)

This implies my plug of 13A is too high. Should I change it to be 3A ?

If you check the link I posted earlier, then you would see that this agrees with Andrews advice earlier.

Yes, 13 Amp is too much for this appliance, changing it to a 3 Amp fuse will give better protection to your projector.

I would be interested in ny picture settings you come up with that you find work well.

If you are struggling with same I can let you know the settings I am using. You can spend a lot of time altering andrealtering them in an attempt to improve the picture. Regards
