Hi everybody,

I want to know which is the better amp for sound, i have B&O speakers beolab 8000 (front), beolab 6000 (Rears) beolab 2 (Sub) beolab 4000 (Centre), I did have a yamaha rxv1067 which i am selling. I am leaning towards the pioneer due to the fact that they use B&O ICE CLASS D amplification and also the fact that the pioneer is THX certified.

also i want to know what do they mean that the yamaha has a warm sound and the pioneer has a forward sounding?

Many thanks

Haleem

Best thing to do is go and listen - it really does come down to personal preference. I have owned a number of Yamaha receivers (currently the rx v3067) - like their sound. With Pioneer, if you like Yamaha, you might find the sound is a bit too much 'in your face' by comparison or you may love it. Reviewers all give Pioneer, Yamaha, Onkyo and Denon high marks - it all depends on you personal preference - they are all good.
