Pioneer KRP 500a Settings

I have just awaiting the arrival of my new Pioneer KRP-500A and reading this forum it advises a running in period for the first 200 odd hours as well as using certain settings during time. I was wondering if someone could please advise me of this timescale what these settings should be in very basic terms as I am not the cleverest person with anything too technical.

Genral advice is to keep both Contrast and Brightness levels lower than normal for about the first 100 hours
