Pioneer BDP-51 Upgrade??

I currently have the Panasonic BD30 blu ray player and have been reading on forums about the Pioneer BDP-51 and i am very tempted to upgrade ( with some of the deals at the moment) especially since reading about the latest firmware which has apparently improved sd picture quality dramatically and fixed all the latest bugs. Would i notice a big step up from my current player with sound and vision?? My tv is a panasonic 720p hd ready screen and my reciever the Onkyo 605
