Question Pioneer BDP-180 Issue, I’d like it fixed or anybody help?

Just bought myself a Panasonic UB820 4K Blu Ray Player which I’m over the moon with

I’ve still kept my Pioneer BDP-180 Blu Ray player because it plays my SACD’s, picture and sound are fine on it, bought it in February 2016, I’m now having issues with the Pioneers disc tray opening and closing when pressing the open close button on the remote control and also when I press the button on the front, you press it to open or close and it occasionally works then doesn’t work for hours! you have to turn the machine on and off then again it may or may not work 🙄 I have to push the tray in myself, I’d like to get it fixed or does anyone know what this issue could be ??

Assuming you are in the UK (?) then I can recommend Mike Pickwell who is based in Sheffield. He's on Pink Fish Media as MikeP.

He rebuilt my Leak to an incredibly high standard and often posts about CD player rebuilds.

It sounds like the belt may need replacing.
