Hi,
Apologies if this is a basic question, but the manual doesn't cover it.
When output is set to '1080i' on the Sky box and watching a SD channel (Sky News), when I press the info button on the Philips' remote it indicates a resolution of 'HD 1080'. When I change the Sky box output to 'Auto' and press the info button, it indicates '560p' and, to me, the picture doesn't look as clear.
This has me wondering what the Philips is reporting. Does it report the resolution that it is receiving the signal (after which it presumably upscales)? Alternatively, is it reporting the resolution it is displaying? If so, is this correct or am I missing some basic setting in my set up?
Cheers
LL.
