Paper thin . . . ?

We make a lot of fuse over speaker cable, talking to an ex Kef engineer earlier today . . . his take on it is simple, auditioning is important, its usually differences we here, that we interpret 'better or worse' . . . ? Consider the speaker, put XX meters of hi cost/very high cost? fancy cable between amp and speaker terminal, and yet, out of sight, at both ends of said cable are paper thin PCB lands along which the signal travels . . . does it make any sense, are we again talking, 'the Kings new suit' . . . ????

Thats unless you have Croft amplification, not a PCB in sight . . . CJSF

Except there aren't metres of PCB tracking just a couple of cm (max) before going into a component or connector. The net contribution will probably be insignificant compared to a large run of cabling. Also PCB tracking will if properly designed be of the appropriate width and thickness, or use wire links, so that the signal path is rated to handle the current flowing through it.
