Just as I was about to buy the Panasonic DMP-BD55 blue ray player, I find it has been withdrawn from their current product list, despite a "product of the year" award in the Oct issue, and still listed in the February issue. Grrrrr! My dealer ( I live in the Netherlands) says that Philips have just brought out a player with identical specs. Can you throw light on the Pana and the new Philips?

many topics on this. and by the sounds the new Panna's should be out feb/march.

Any news about the new Philips? I can wait for a Pana replacement given same specs and reputation.
