i went to comet yesterday to view this tv and was really impressed bye the 3D! not to mention 2D viewing.. i was not inspecting it to be this good so i placed an order ( 1 month waiting list) and got a fantastic deal a think?

the tv

two 2m monster 1200ex HDMI leads £100 each

and they also through in a sony digital photo frame model No DPF-D72N £40

and a DMP-BDT300 3D BD player £400

all for £2200 HAPPY DAYS!

just thought i would give people a heads up on what i thought was quite an exspensive store!!!!

cheers - i did not mention that the bd player is redeemable through panasonics website after yer receive the tv. not sure if this promotion is exsclusive to comet or not but its the first i have hered of it. the promotion runs to the end of august if my memory serves me correctly

i went in and the sales rep told me this offer with the free blu-ray was over? but the 2 hdmi leads how did you do that? the set has`nt been reviewed by whsv but havent seen the magazine yet... it is quite bulky which might tempt to wait for some more sets by panasonic but they are the giving the best value for first time buyers of 3-d compared to the rest

That's quite a nice deal you've got there!

I wouldn't spend £100 on an HDMI cable, but not bad at all if it's part of the deal.

What seem's a bit strange is that the review is already on the website? but i think it does goes into abit more detail in the book, one thing that seem's to let it down abit is the audio.

they also had a dig at the design other than that if you want a future proof tv then it could be an excellent choice for you.

It's actually 2 Free 3D blu ray films (Ice Age 3 and Coraline) when you purchase the VT20 and the BDT300 player, so Comet have made a error and lost £400 on the player as they thought you redeem a free BDT300 player when you actually redeem just for the movies but good for you as you saved allot of money and the sales staff probably had a right earfull from their manager!

cheers for that. i will def be giving them a call tomorrow because i was going to buy from a panasonic store for the extended warranty, but called in comet while shopping to just have a look at the tv and bought from there because of what they said and offered! they best stick to what they said as i do not have it in writing..

ok i have just spoke to head office and the hanley store (stoke) and they have said its a genuine offer and lasts till the end of august and i will be getting the 3D BD films (BONUS) as well as the 3D BD player! maybe they have made a mistake and are just honouring what they promised but not admitting it who knows. they did also say its limited to a certain amount of people..

You need to get in writing that you will be getting a Free DMP-BDT300 3D blu ray player from Comet as if it's not on the paperwork, you will not get one as they have made a mistake but to cover your back, go and see the sales person and get it in writing as there is no promotion to claim a free 3d blu ray player from Panasonic when you buy a VT20.

yes thanks panasonic store for your help, got a phone call this morning and they have confirmed they have made a mistake. but they are going to redo my receipt and send it through the post with the added BD player and it will come with the TV like they promised. thanks - i can see that would of got a whole lot harder once i'd got the tv..
