Hello all. I'm in the process of helping my boss choose a new TV. I've purchased him the latest 'Ultimate Guides' mag, for him to browse though. In my experience, i've always been able to get electrical goods off the internet chepaer than in retail stores. Can anyone tell me where I can get the PANASONIC TH-37PX80 tv for £595 (or less). This was the price quoted in the guide, but I can only find it for £620 at best. Thanks in advance.

I think sound & vision in bolton is normally the cheapest, pretty sure its just below £600. Most people on here price match it with john lewis to take advantage of there 5 year warranty through.

Dixons.co.uk has it for £575 delivered. Sound and Vision.co.uk has it for a quid less.

Thanks both for the replies. I need to brush up on my price searching skills, obviously. :)

Yes but the main issue is the 5 yr warranty.Panasonic are givng it on this model to the 31st July but they appear to be controlling the price for doing so ,including buying it in the shop.alternative policies to get 5 yrs on top of this cheap price are £250-making these offer prices pretty redundant unles you can inform otherwise.
John Lewis will pricematch with S&V and give you their free 5yr guarantee too, best of both worlds.

As previously mentioned a John Lewis price match is the best solution but if you don't want to do that then Digital Direct have it for £562 delivered.

Will John Lewis price match/warranty supply online, or do you have to go int a shop? Also, do they price match against online retailers, or stores only? thanks very much.
JL stores do the pricematch. You can phone or email your local store(via their web site). They onl;y pricematch other stores/shops not internet sites.

Do a Google on John Lewis Pricematch to see other dedictaed forums.

Why not?

They PM`d the same set against S & V`s price for me (£600). And this was the MK store.

I must admit, i enquired by phoning the store and asking if they would pricematch

Perhaps it is better to actually go to the store and request it?
Email worked fine for me. It gets routed to the right dept. straight away. Use the "contact us" on their web site to send email to your local branch. Include your name/address/phone num and the match details, shop, address, TV, price...
