Panasonic BDT500 or Oppo 93 for DVDs and Blu Ray connected with Yamaha RX-A810 AV Receiver, or Cheaper solution?

1) The main difference between blu ray players is DVD upscaling & sound performance.

2) For pure 1080p/24 blu ray picture, there is little to differentiate.

3) If you let your AV receiver decode audio, then you won't have to worry about sonic performance of your blu ray player.

Ive got the same dilemma wanna change my panny 310 for either the new panny bdt500 or oppo 93 main reason for only choosing these is that they both have dual hmdi as I haVe denon 1910 amp non 3d.

A few people have said about the oppo support being great but I have never had any issues with playback on my old panny.

What to do!!!

You will be better served by keeping your Panasonic BDT310 & investing in a 3D capable amplifier instead. You will get a significant step up in performance by going for something like Yamaha RX-A810 which is available for the price of the Oppo:
