I have never moved away from discs, just upgraded to a 4K Blu-Ray disc player and this was my player of choice. My previous player being the Marantz UD7006, which is now just my SACD surround sound player as UB820 does not have the facility to play them! Considered the DP-UB9000 but didn't need the analogue out, so would have been an expensive option for nothing bettter than build quality. The UB820 can tend to have a buzzy case at disc spin up, but only notable with 3D discs and soon quietens down.
Streaming video just does not cut it on the big screen, although it's got better of late. However, sound quality is a totally different matter. Streamed movie audio is just so bland and lossy when compared to a Blu-Ray Master Audio disc.

I swapped a budget, but rated, Sony for this. The Sony started freezing. Haven’t regretted it for an instant. Pd just over £300 for a refurbed (but looked new, in new box, and registered as new by Panasonic) so the Amazon price is excellent.

Lack of support for SACD matters not to me. I’ve dipped a toe in the water with “High Fidelity Blu Ray Audio” but they are very expensive.

Still, it’s for movies really, and on that score I couldn’t be happier.
