Im looking for a pair of over ear headphones that can deliver good (preferably) neutral sound and also be good for gaming.

Im running a pair of Sennheiser HD560S today and I like the sound they are delivering. Problem is that the leaking sound is annoying when it comes to gaming (and sometimes listening to music) caused by the ambient sound.

For that reason...im looking for a pair of closed back headphones so I dont get any leaking sound from my surroundings.
I also want to be able to connect my mic (v-modda boom pro 3,5mm) or the headphones should have a mic already.

I can also consider wireless headphones with mic if that helps for an easier recommendation.

Price: ~$300 +-

All help would be much appreciated! 🙂

Sorry you didn't get any replies so far.
It's not very clear to me where your priorities are, and what source you are connecting the headphones to.

Since you already have a mic, i would suggest you look for good closed back headphones. Fiio FT1 are a lot of sound for you money, but user reports suggest the isolation is not great on every head shape. You say you like the Sennheiser sound, so the HD569 or HD620s could be a good fit.

Pay attention to resistance. The Fiio has low impedance and is easy to drive. Sennheisers typically perform better with an amplifier in between - perhaps just an Ifi Go Link (Max) if you plug into a computer's usb port.

There is a mic add-on from Sennheiser for the 500 series and 620s (HD500 BAM), but i believe its cabling options give you either a 4-pole TRRS jack or two 3.5mm TRS jacks. This could mean you'll need some kind of dongle to make this work with your device (computer, game console, ...) It doesn't seem straightforward for all setups, but i have no experience.

If it's gaming and music headset, the Audeze Maxwell is a solid choice, there's also alternatives from Steelseries and Razer.

The A's are close back, planars and these are wireless, costs £294, reasonably price too.
