Have recently taken delivery of Samsung 50Q97HDX. Has anyone really tweaked this set to the limit. Out of the box the picture's not that good and there are just so many variables. It's taking an age to tailor the myriad of options, anyone "been there done that" Likewise the sound is very thick, doesn't effect me so much as I run it through the audio system if I'm watching anything of note but my wife and daughter watch without that benefit and Iv'e heard it in passing. Anyone got a list of optimum settings. Only feed is from a Sky+ box. Thanks to anyone who would take the time to list, cheers, Andy.

I used the setting off here, and found them to be spot on.
Hope this helps.
I also noticed a big improvement to the sound off the TV by putting the mains through a Tacima 6 way block extension along with the rest of my AV equipment..

I have personal experience with the PS-50Q97HDX as I had one for a year before changing to the PS-50P96FDX but found that on both sets the settings were roughly the same. I will note down my settings and post them later. One thing I would recomend is that you turn the MOVIE PLUS mode off as I found with both sets this caused motion problems.

Was hoping you'd reply JK as you answered my very first Q about hanging it on the wall. Agreed Lcd settings don't seem appropriate for a plasma. However the movie setting to date is giving the most realistic colour pallete, the other 2 are a bit in your face but perhaps because the rest 'aint right yet. I'll await your reply, cheers, Andy
