ONKYO TX-SR875 vs YAMAHA DSP-AX863SE

iv noticed that richers sound lowered the price of the onkyo sr875 from £999 to £599 so now the price of the two receivers is exact....is the video processing on the yamaha as good on the onkyo ??   but which one is better?

I would say the Onkyo is better for home cinema has better upgrading qualities, but the Yamaha can be found for £495 and is a good allrounder when it comes to stereo.

Not sure about the sound quality koskos, but the Awards issue mentions that the 876 has better video processing than the Yamaha, and as the 876 is only slightly modified from the 875 I would suspect that the Onkyo 875 also beats the Yamaha 863 for pic quality. The review says that the sound is better from the Yamaha...
