why do onkyo continue to provide cheap mains cables fixed in to the system i use clearer audio mains on all other equip and dont really wanna start choping cables to have the same on onkyo WHFSAV can you ask them WHY ?????????

Clearly the designers feel the mains cable is adequate for the product.

It is the same standard quality that is (I find) suppled with all electrical equipment. Many of us have found the benefits of upgrading on the quality of supplied accessories on our ears, and the enjoyment on the listening to music!

spend a bit more money and you can get one of their machines which will let you spend more on the mains cables.

...Although the 606 seems to do pretty well with the standard weedy-looking two-core mains cable it's fitted with as standard.

No, from the 705 up they have IEC sockets on the rear.

I would imagine that it's a cost issue. Especially seeing as they try to cram more and more technology into budget recievers. Somthing's got to give if want to keep their prices competitive.
