Hi everyone i have just ordered an Onkyo Tx-Nr808 and would like to know if my speakers will do the new amp justice. My speakers are Wharfedale diamond 9.6 fronts, 9.cs centre, 9.1 surounds and a sw250 sub. Any advice would be good thanks.

Your speakers will be fine with it, but it will stand you a good upgrade should you want to at some point.
The 684 package (£1600) would be even better with that kind of receiver......
After paying for stands on the forementioned 685 package, it'll be similar price to the 684 version which has floorstanders at the front (assuming you have the space for them?)

I'm sure either a B&W 600 series, Monitor Audio RX series, or KEF Q series package will work very well with the 808. Have a listen and take your pick.
Thanks everyone i currently have floor standers already and would like to keep it that way and the 684 home theatre pack sounds like the one for me.
After long deliberation i went for the B & w 683 fronts and the HTM 61 center and when i recover from that i will put the asw610xp and either 685 or the dc3 dipole for the rears. Which would be better for the rears?
