Hi,

I have dancing Blue pixels in dark areas of some PS3 games & also on normal DVD's. I haven't noticed it on Blue ray or on SD TV sources.

Before I call the reseller where I bought my Onkyo amp I was wondering if anyone here has had a similar problem as I understand that this is a known issue?.

I have bypassed the amp & sourced both the DVD & PS3 directly in to the HDMI socket on my TV which eliminates the problem so it must be the AMP. I have tried disabling OSD immediate display & also Noise reduction as was suggested but neither to any effect. This is apparently an HDMI management HW module that needs changing.

Has anyone had similar issues & was it easy for them to get the unit fixed & was it succesful?

Many thanks,

Not got the 806, but have been reading about this problem as interested in purchasing the 806.

Basically you have to call a company called Genserve (google it). They arrange pick up, repair and delivery back to you. It takes about 2 weeks, and from what I have read, it's a very painless process (if you don't mind waiting for two weeks!!)

Hope that helps.....

One would hope, given that Genserve is the company responsible for Onkyo's warranty work and upgrades, that the products now in the shops have been sorted in this respect.

It would seem unfair for consumers to be buying products with known problems, and having to send them away for two weeks for rectification after purchase.

Thanks for your input guys.. I have decided to upgrade to the 876 & agreed to pay another £200 from Sevenoaks in Reading as an upgrade. This coupled with my new Pana TH46 PX81B (which incidentally is the catalyst which made me observe the issue for the 1st time when the Sony 4500W didn't) a great choice.

I couldn't wait for 2 weeks as I have had other issues with TV's etc & just want a decent set up!

Thanks again !!
