I perchase this amp in nov 2007, worked well till last monday 28/2/2011. when it made a loud pop noise, and lots smoked came out, has any body had any problems like this before. I hoped this amp would last longer

I have a TX-SR606, I bought it in december 2008. The on screen display gave up working in July last year and this week it will not output anything over 480 resolution. Repair costs with postage both ways would cost around £200. Now scrapped. Got new Sony STR-DH810 from richer sounds £229.95 VIP exclusive price.

My Marantz AV amp last for abt 5 years before dieing on me.

Harman Kardon one die in less than 5 years.

Just buy a Onkyo, guess it is not going to last more than 5 years as well.
