Now come on, she may have had humble beginnings (I mean didn't Jonathan Ross start with Heinz Beans?) but she's moved on now through a successful pop, film and television career and is now a highly respected actre.......ah, ok, I'm with you.

After reading the original post, a few words spring to mind "seemed like a good idea at the time"

To vanman why not go all the way, & hire an industrial vacuum cleaner, take the side off your pc & give it a good clean it's probably a bit fluffy round the fans, preferably wearing trainers on a carpeted floor, if things go a bit pear shaped, you've allways got the library to give us a update.

To every body else i have read all 11 pages best read i have had in a long long time.

Like many others (I suspect), for me, vanman's assertion that this tv had a coin box felt like a journey even further into the realms of fantasy.

Please get your facts right, the pioneer I have brought is brand new but its an open box item so they have to sell it as second hand even though its never been used, I did make this clear in an earlier post you need to read things correctly

No I have not gone quite there was nothing to report due to the fact that the guy could not get Saturday but he has just left and was very happy with the replacement tv I purchased, and what is even better he has agreed not to fix a money box to it as I am going to pay a set amount each week for 5yrs so I am very happy and I get to keep the old one that I broke

I've just read through all this, and I must admit it has provided me with some funny moments!
Vanman, whilst I am sorry that you have got yourself in this predicament, I find it a little hard to sympathise!
Nevertheless, I guess you're happy with the outcome.
One question, you had this TV on pay per view (or whatever it is) paying a fee into the TV directly that the company came to pick up every month. You broke this TV.
You then went out and borrowed money from family (£2,800) and bought a nearly new TV. Obviously you have to pay back your family somehow - monthly or in one lump sum??
This 'area service man' came out and was happy you blew his tele to bits, that you had got a replacement and that he wasn't going to put a 'box' on the side? Sounds like you've been lucky there!
But you're now paying repayments (albeit to family) for a £2,800 tele and also weekly payments to the company who's tv you blew to bits - for 5 years!
I hope lessons have been learnt - that's all I will say to you.

Good, that's the best you could possibly hope for. Get the telly on eBay (for spares or repair), or get a quote from a proper television repair company (it may simply not be economical though).

No, you got into trouble because you decided to take the back off your plasma TV despite the warnings stuck on the cover and printed in the manual, and having misread some advice given about cleaning an old amplifier which had had been in storage for some time.

And help you how? I assume you are not now soliciting for Forum members to send you money, which as far as I can see would be the only way to solve the predicament in which you have placed yourself, because if you are you will be banned immediately.
