Odd ball question. Coax cables as interconnects?

Any reason why not to?
I seem to have a glut of QED coax interconnects.

yes I could plug them and see but I thought I would ask first whil I plat with some old Supra HDMI cables and 4k!

COAX interconnects are usually 50ohms impedance so are not suitable for standard interconnections which require low impedance/resistance cables.

digital coaxial actually come in both 50 and 75ohm variations, if you have a 75ohm cables they will be fine for using as a rca cable.

The vast majority of interconnect cables are coax(ial), although I've got a Kimber weave type (no I didn't buy it and no, it makes no difference to the sound).

Though intended for fixed installation, CT100 type satellite cable makes a good interconnection cable not least because of its near 100% braid and foil screening.
OK if you rarely move it, personally I never do.

They will be absolutely fine.

2 years later I might get to try them out. Resurrected the Touch with a RPi to be the server so have the latest updates and the wifi issues have gone.
