I use oak cones under several peices of kit and yes they do improve the performance.

Where do you insert them? Under speakers?

Hi Keith, yes the most benifit is under the centre speaker where i use three Russ andrews small oak cone feet.My floor is concrete so the mains are spiked. Howerever i do use three small cones under my cd player where they affect subtle changes in the sound which subjectivly i prefer.

I'm obviously Barking up the wrong Tree then!

I suppose the bark might have affected the bytes but the trouble is they've removed it.

They could also cause excessive grain or woodworm in the soundstage.
